Introduction to Bentley Transmittal Services

Bentley Transmittal Services lets ProjectWise Explorer users issue transmittal packages containing ProjectWise documents for informational or review purposes. Recipients of the transmittal package can then log in to a Bentley Transmittal Portal website and acknowledge, review, and respond as required.

Bentley Transmittal Services includes three modules:

1. Bentley Transmittal Server - the application server module of Bentley Transmittal Services.
2. Bentley Transmittal Portal - provides a website, known as the portal, through which recipients of the transmittal package can acknowledge, review, and respond as required.
3. Bentley Transmittal connector for ProjectWise - when installed on top of ProjectWise Administrator, the connector is used to enable transmittals management in the datasource; when installed on top of ProjectWise Explorer, the connector is used to enable transmittals management per project (in an enabled datasource), create and issue transmittal packages containing ProjectWise documents, and track the status of transmittal packages already issued.
